Yosemite

My parents both retired this year. Both of them had never been to Yosemite National Park. So, Scott, I and the girls took them on a little trip for thier gift. We stayed at the Tenaya Lodge and went into the park 2 days. It was a beautiful time of year to go, great weather and great fun had by all!

St. Maarten

We got to take a wonderful family vacation to St. Maarten earlier this month. Scott's friend's mom gave us access to her time share and we were able to make it work. What a beautiful place. It was a fun week had by all...even if Mackenzie kept us on our toes.

Our Garden

For Valentine's day I wanted Scott to build me some planter boxes, so after a trip to The Home Depot and an argument later :) we made it home with all the supplies we would need, or so we thought! We built as much as we could then Scott went back for a few more items...but alas we have 2 beautiful planter boxes and we have a lot of yummy prospects popping up our summer eats!

the materials...

box #1

Holding it all together...

finishing box #2 (now it was dark)

Kindergarten Events

I have been such a slacker with this blog lately...I am trying to get back in the swing of things...here are some of the fun Madison has been having in the last month of kindergarten!

Her Bug Report...the little stinker picked a red ant! Not a ladybug, or a butterfly, but the nasty red ant...so here she is building her model.

It turned out really cute...I stuck my ground and made her do it all by herself (I helped cover the box, though)

Ready to turn in the model...

Jog-a-thon day:

Showing off her fast running shoes!

Getting a lap marked off...she ran/jogged 7 laps.

Go Maddie!
