Update...

Well the holidays are over, we traveled up and down California and I still have a week off! Yah! Christmas decos are down, put away and the house is clean...now if only a testy 3 year old would go to sleep it would be hunky dory!

I will post photos later of the Merry days!! But for now check out my sister-in-law's blog, she had her baby boy 3 weeks "early". I say "early" because I don't think her due date was quite right, he was 8 lbs 13 oz and 22 in. If he lasted any longer in there she would have...well you know!! :) He is a cutey and we love him lots!

first day of vacation fun...

Well it is official, I am on vacation for 2 weeks...YAHOO!! only to wake up to mommy, I'm wet. I thought, ewwww did you pee in your bed. She calls back, as I am walking down the hall, no it is on my blanket. So when I finally make it into her room, I look and see, in horror, PUKE! She had thrown up all over herself, her pillow, her blanket and her bedding! Yikes! After cleaning her and Scott cleaning up the bed, we get her laying down on the floor covered in towels and blankets. Over the next few hours, she threw up about 3 or 4 more times, but now she realized what is happening and can let us know before she does it and we can have her throw up in a towel and lucky us, no more "extra" cleaning. She kept it right there and would immediately go right back to sleep! Now we are laying on the couch, because she keeps saying she is "sleepy-tired", so here I am on my first day of vacation...

Monday's are Fundays~ YEAH RIGHT

I don't really like Monday's but I found some more photos I haven't shared yet. A trip to S.F. to see all the pretty Christmas decorations, shop in union Square and eat some yummy food, and Madison in her new big girl bed, which she loves because now we can "snuggle" with her.

We also took a trip to Six Flags Marine World to see their Holiday in the park. It was great but absolutely FREEZING.

Then our friends Chris and Andi had their baby. A little boy Dylan Christopher on 12/13!

Here is Madison taking care of all of her "friends" in the car!

Here is her first family portrait!

More Chirstmas FUN!

We made our very first Gingerbread house last night. Madison loved it and I think Scott had a great time too. The one on the box looked much more professional, but ours looks handmade! Here is the before, during and after photos:

Also my mom and dad got us a train to go around the tree, Madison is obsessed with watching it go 'round and 'round. It plays Christmas music and makes other "train" noises. It really looks we are ready for Christmas around here. I even managed to wrap about 3/4 of the presents yesterday and even helped Santa wrap some, too.

All in just one day

Today was/is/will be a busy day!
  1. I woke up at 4a.m. to go to Kohl's to do the annual Tommy Apostolos Fund shopping trip for needy kids at 5:15a.m. As a teacher we can nominate students who are in need for a shopping trip. Their parents bring them to Kohl's where members of the community (teachers, police officers, etc.) take one child to go "shopping". The fund gives each child $150 to spend on new clothes, shoes, jammies. I was able to get to take a little girl from my class. It was so fun. When we finished they have breakfast for the children while the parents wait outside. Her and her 2 sisters got to go home with 4 big bags of clothes.

  2. We took Madison to breakfast with Santa. She had so much fun, although Santa is still not her favorite. But she did let us get a pretty cute decent photo! (Scott said he looks like a catolog advertisment)

  3. Then today we still are going to get our flu shots. Didn't make it...nap was too long.
  4. We have a friends birthday at 3p.m.
  5. Finally the Secret Adventure tonight. It is a trip on a horse drawn sleigh out to one of Santa's workshops where we get to decorate cookies, listen to stories around the campfire and then meet Mrs. Claus and Santa in their workshop.

I am already pooped!

Fabulous Addictions

I have been tagged by my sister-in-law, who nominated me as having a fabulous blog. Thanks Kelly!

1. You have to pass it on to 5 other fabulous bloggers in a post.
2. You have to list 5 of your fabulous addictions in the post.
3. You must copy and paste the rules and the instructions below in the post.

Instructions: On your post of receiving this award, make sure you include the person that gave you the award and link it back to them.

So here are my Fabulous Addictions
1. I love to go shopping!!  (see previous post)

2. I love junk food. I think my main food groups are chocolate, cookies and candy. There isn't a day that goes by without them!! Except for the 40 days during Lent when I give it all up! It is hard, but knowing why/who I am doing it for makes it work.

3. I am Reality TV junkie!! I am totally addicted to them. Especially the ones on TLC. Jon and Kate plus 8, 17 and counting, Twins, Twins and Septuplets, Little People Big World and some on "regular" TV (Dancing wit the Stars and American Idol)

4. I am addicted to the Internet. I check my email about 20 times or more a day. I love reading blogs and websites, emails and bulletins. I feel somehow like I am connected to some of these people by similar events in life, or just the shear fact that I know so much about them. I know crazy!!

5. My family! My great husband, my amazing daughter and my parents! I couldn't have picked a better one!

OK.....Now it is YOUR turn!

Here's who I Nominated as a FABULOUS BLOG!

1. My high school friend Katie. She and I have known each other for about 12 years and recently reunited. It is fun reading/hearing about what she is doing. She also got me back into reading lately. I am not as good as her, but getting there!

2. Katie's Sister Emily. She has two adorable kiddos and I love reading her blog updates too!

3. I would have tagged my sister-in-law Kelly, but she tagged me, so she's out.

4. My friend Kristen from long-ago! She and I worked together at Marine World. She has a new little one and is enjoying him!

5. I don't know many others who blog regularly yet, so I think that is it!

Dancing with the...Toddlers PLUS some other photos

I totally caught Madison rocking out tonight while watching the Chipmunk Movie. She saw me towards the end, hence the embarrassed look on her face. But otherwise...so adorable!

Plus here is "our" tree and "her" tree!
