NEW YORK CITY

We had a wonderful time in New York, we saw 2 Broadway shows: Wicked and Shrek, we did a city tour, went to Uptown, Downtown, Midtown, Central Park, Brooklyn and spent a lot of time in Times Square. We shopped, we ate, we walked, we ate, we people watched and ate somemore! Here are just a few highlights from our trip...it has taken awhile to get back into the swing of things, with the time change and being 4 1/2 months pregnant, I have been exhusted this week!

Central Park:

Brooklyn Bridge:
Statue of Liberty (really tiny between us):Times Square: Wicked: P.S. Madison had a blast with Scott's mom and my parents, almost didn't want to come back home...she was spoiled! :)

Happy "Balemtimes" Day

This week we have been getting ready for Valentines day, Madison has been calling it "Balemtimes" day. We got cards ready, made cookies, frosted cookies and sent them on their way...she totally got it this year and it was so cute watching her be so excited!!

this photo is supposed to be straight, but after 3 times trying I gave up!

Plus Mommy and Daddy got her a fun little doggie, and flip flops~which she wants to wear right now in the rain! :)

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

So here goes..these are some things I didn't do last week.

First since we were tiling our upstairs bathrooms and the bathtub was really hard to use Madison did not only have one bath last week. That would just be gross.

Second, I am growing a little wide lately my clothes are not fitting so great, but I am just really not quite ready to wear maternity pants, so I did not just wear a long sweater to cover the fact that my pants were not buttoned at all...no not me.

Third, I was in the mood to cook everynight last week, just to proceed to go to Taco Bell, Nugget Market and Pete's Pizza. That would just be crazy 3 nights in a week eating out. No definitely not me!

Fourth, it was supposed to rain last week and prepared my kindergarteners that we would be having inside recess. So even though, it was not raining and I just wasn't in the mood to go outside, I did not make them have inside recess just because, I wouldn't do that to 20 5 and 6 year olds.

Finally, just because it is your birthday work needs to get done, I did not hold Scott's cake over his head until we had 2 working toilets upstairs. Now that would just mean, it was his birthday, but thankfully I didn't do that.

Your turn...what did you not do last week?

Weird Dreams

I know when I was pregnant with Madison I had weird dreams, but I think my dream last night tops all of them...

Here goes: In my dream, I wake up in a hospital, and I know that I have given birth, but I am not sure what I had where he/she is. A few minutes later a nurse comes in wheeling the bassinet. In side I see pink. So I know it is a girl, so I go to pick her up and to my amazement it is a cat. An orange and white taby cat to be exact. I couldn't believe it, but I must have got over my initial shock, because the next thing I know everyone is visiting telling me my little girl is adorable. Then I notice her name...Isaiah Ashley Castro Vaughan....whoa! (I work with Ms. Castro, so I am assuming that is where that name came from, but the rest...who knows?) I am in love with my kitty daughter, but then I lose her and the rest of the dream is me running around the hospital frantically looking for her. I eventually found Isaiah and all was well....well until I woke up and thought holy $#*!

Crazy what hormones do to you! Or maybe it was just me?

photo shoot with the cousins

We drove to Modesto today to visit with Scott's sister Kelly and our neice Jenna and nephew Ryan. We planned to get their photos done for Scott and Kelly's Dad's birthday, it is not until April, but hey we are planning ahead. He went OU (university of Oklahoma) so I found these cute little cheerleader costumes on e-bay and couldn't resist.

After an hour in the studio, sweat, tears (not really~)and laughter, we finally got a couple of really precious photos.

Over the new tile...

Ok, today is day 6 of tiling...I am officially over it! This is how we are living:
This is my bathroom, notice there is no TOILET! Being pregnant is great don't get me wrong...but when you have to pee at 2 am and trapsing down stairs while sqeezing by the washing machine is NO fun!!!
(for some reason I couldn't rotate the photo)
Here is our hallway leading to Madison's room, don't you love the washing machine/dryer in the way!

Let's just say that this better look FABULOUS when all is said and done, because it is ready to drive me crazy.

Home Project #50million

Scott started another project this weekend, that just keeps on giving. He and a friend are tiling our 2 upstairs bathrooms and laundry room...let's just say YIKES!! Here are some photos of the mess project.

Baby sitting!

I got a taste of 2 kids today, actually 3...we watched Madison's godfather Chris' little 7 week old, Dylan, and his wife's daughter, Alyssa. They did great and we even went to the park! They played nicely and were little angels all day!
