Easter at the "HOME"

My grandpa lives in a retirement home, he loves it there and we are so happy for him. He has lots of lady friends and loves to gossip about everyone there. It does our hearts good to have him so content. Every year the little ladies put on an Easter Egg Hunt the day before Easter. We have attended the last several years and it is so fun to see all the residents come out to watch the great-grand kids join in the fun.


Madison and her cousin Antonio made out like bandits, not only do they have candy in the eggs, but little pieces of paper that correspond to prizes. They got airplanes, sand pails, Slinky's, jump ropes, play dough, pencils, stuffed animals and water games. It is such a wonderful event and we can't wait to go back next year!

First family of Four Christmas

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great weekend celebrating the 4th with my side of the family. Madison and I started with a pedicure! We went to the parade, went swimming, had a b-b-q and watched the fireworks. We are all tired and I am sure that Scott could use another day off to recoup...but he is off to work in the morning while I continue to wait for #2 to make his/her arrival. Only about 4 1/2 weeks to go!

Father's Day Fun

Then Sunday we headed to the mall for a little while, where they had free face painting and we got some yummy icecream!

Chicks, Ponies, Cousins, Parties and Such

We have had a really busy last few weeks. We were able to celebrate Mother's Day with both of our moms this year and I got to see my grandma too! We had a great time seeing both sets of grandparents lately.

In my classroom, he hatched chicks, so naturally I had to bring Madison in to see them. She loved them and wanted to hold all of them!
We also went to down Town Tuesday Nights where my little chick just had to ride the ponies! She rode on "Sir Wen" and had a blast!

On to other news....Scott and I are now the proud Godparents to our adorable nephew Ryan. We were able to join his baptism celebration/party last weekend.
