All in just one day

Today was/is/will be a busy day!

1. I woke up at 4a.m. to go to Kohl's to do the annual Tommy Apostolos Fund shopping trip for needy kids at 5:15a.m. As a teacher we can nominate students who are in need for a shopping trip. Their parents bring them to Kohl's where members of the community (teachers, police officers, etc.) take one child to go "shopping". The fund gives each child $150 to spend on new clothes, shoes, jammies. I was able to get to take a little girl from my class. It was so fun. When we finished they have breakfast for the children while the parents wait outside. Her and her 2 sisters got to go home with 4 big bags of clothes.


2. We took Madison to breakfast with Santa. She had so much fun, although Santa is still not her favorite. But she did let us get a pretty cute decent photo! (Scott said he looks like a catolog advertisment)

   

3. Then today we still are going to get our flu shots. Didn't make it...nap was too long.
4. We have a friends birthday at 3p.m.
5. Finally the Secret Adventure tonight. It is a trip on a horse drawn sleigh out to one of Santa's workshops where we get to decorate cookies, listen to stories around the campfire and then meet Mrs. Claus and Santa in their workshop.

I am already pooped!

So here are my Fabulous Addictions
1. I love to go shopping!!  (see previous post)


2. I love junk food. I think my main food groups are chocolate, cookies and candy. There isn't a day that goes by without them!! Except for the 40 days during Lent when I give it all up! It is hard, but knowing why/who I am doing it for makes it work.


3. I am Reality TV junkie!! I am totally addicted to them. Especially the ones on TLC. Jon and Kate plus 8, 17 and counting, Twins, Twins and Septuplets, Little People Big World and some on "regular" TV (Dancing wit the Stars and American Idol)


4. I am addicted to the Internet. I check my email about 20 times or more a day. I love reading blogs and websites, emails and bulletins. I feel somehow like I am connected to some of these people by similar events in life, or just the shear fact that I know so much about them. I know crazy!!


5. My family! My great husband, my amazing daughter and my parents! I couldn't have picked a better one!

1. My high school friend Katie. She and I have known each other for about 12 years and recently reunited. It is fun reading/hearing about what she is doing. She also got me back into reading lately. I am not as good as her, but getting there!

I totally caught Madison rocking out tonight while watching the Chipmunk Movie. She saw me towards the end, hence the embarrassed look on her face. But otherwise...so adorable!

My Busy Life

Long time no post...so let's see. We are ending a week long vacation that seemed like it just started yesterday.
Here is it play by play:

• Saturday- Holiday Parade in downtown Roseville. We rode on my school's float. Madison loved waving at all the people along the route. Then Saturday night we went and played at the new part of the mall with Jaylan.

• Sunday-Lots of Christmas shopping. Got about 1/2 way done! Then went to church.
• Monday- We delivered holiday baskets full of food to families in need from my school. Madison had so much fun handing out the desserts (cookies and pumpkin pie) It was so good for her to be involved in helping others. Then we headed to John's Incredible Pizza for dinner Philip and Gabriella.

Tuesday-We headed to the story time at the library. We planned to go to the park afterwards, but Madison, Sophia and Philip had so much fun playing in the area in front of the library we ended up staying there for 1 1/2 hours to "play."

Wednesday-LAZY DAY!!! Loved it! We did our Christmas card photo with Madison and Mickey~after about 100 pictures we got one! Saw the new Madagascar-cute!

• Thursday- Went to my mom's for Thanskgiving dinner. She had her tree out so we saw a photo op!

• Friday- Braved the crowds for Black Friday- Madison and my mom joined me. Got some good stuff.


• Saturday-got our tree and got our holiday stuff out! House looks great!


Sunday-Slept in! WOO WHOO! Even Madison slept in until 9! Then went to play at the Fountains, had lunch and Madison rode the train!

What a jam packed week!

• my family...being together watching movies, going to the park, playing

• Holidays...love the decorations, the music, being with friends and family

• reading books... thanks to Katie for some new authors I have not read before, I am making head way into some great series. Plus I love chic-lit!

• Shopping...I find it sort of theraputic. Love looking even if I don't buy anything.

• Working out...although I haven't been the best in this department lately. I love to go to the gym with my most recent book and read while I do the eliptical machine.

• baking yummy desserts. Actually eating yummy desserts, anything chocolate makes me happy!
